Neighborhood marketing, explained

What is Every Door Direct Mail?

Every Door Direct Mail is a USPS route-based mailing service for qualifying printed mailpieces. Instead of addressing each piece to a named person, you select carrier routes and use simplified addressing.

EDDM can suit a restaurant promotion, shop opening, local event or home-service offer that is useful throughout a defined area. It reaches routes—not a hand-picked list of particular households.

Need named customers, exclusions beyond the postal process or personalized versions? Compare targeted direct mail and mailing lists before choosing the format.

Boise, Meridian & the Treasure Valley

Build the mailing around where you do business

Begin with the places your team can actually serve. We help Boise-area organizations discuss selected routes in Boise, Meridian, Eagle, Garden City, Kuna, Nampa and other Treasure Valley communities. A city or ZIP code is the starting point; the final route selection and delivery counts define the mailing.

Local shops & restaurants

Promote an opening, seasonal menu or useful offer to nearby neighborhoods. Make the address, hours and next step easy to find.

Home-service businesses

Plan coverage around your service boundaries. Use a clear headline and an offer that makes sense for the area.

Events & community offers

Give residents the date, location and reason to respond. Plan enough time for printing, preparation and postal delivery.

Route-level demographic estimates can help compare areas; they do not identify or guarantee the characteristics of each recipient.

Design + print + mail preparation

EDDM postcard printing, with the details coordinated

A good neighborhood mailing starts before ink hits paper. We help align the printed piece with your audience, offer, budget and postal requirements.

  • Artwork and file preparation, including design help when needed
  • Qualifying format, stock and finished-size review
  • Addressing and postage-marking layout
  • Printing, route quantities, bundling and paperwork
  • Delivery of the approved mailing to USPS

An oversized postcard, menu or flyer may be suitable, but the name of a product does not establish postal eligibility. Confirm the format with us before finalizing artwork or ordering printed stock.

EDDM requirements: check the format first

Retail quantities

USPS EDDM Retail requires at least 200 pieces and allows up to 5,000 pieces per day per ZIP Code. Business Mail Entry Unit options follow different procedures for larger mailings. We confirm the appropriate approach for your project.

Mailpiece eligibility

EDDM requires a qualifying flat-size piece. Dimensions, thickness, weight, flexibility and preparation matter. A standard 4×6 postcard should not be assumed to qualify; let us review your proposed size and stock.

Use the official USPS EDDM guidance and USPS route-planning tool for current requirements and route information. We review your production layout before printing.

A clear process

From neighborhood idea to USPS entry

01 / PLAN

Define the area

Share your service boundaries, offer, budget and desired mailing window. Review route options and counts.

02 / QUOTE

Confirm the scope

We review design, printing, preparation and postage, then email a quote with a secure payment link.

03 / APPROVE

Review the artwork

After payment, we provide a proof when needed. Check the offer, dates, contact details and postal layout.

04 / MAIL

Print & prepare

We coordinate the approved job and deliver it to USPS. Postal delivery follows acceptance and is not a guaranteed arrival date.

What does EDDM cost in Boise?

Your complete project may include design, printing, preparation, bundling, paperwork and postage. Format, route counts, quantity and artwork readiness affect the quote.

A postage-only rate is not the total campaign price. We quote the defined scope using current requirements rather than posting a rate that may become outdated.

Give the campaign a measurable next step

Use one clear offer, a readable phone number or URL, and a way to record inquiries. A QR code can help, but test it on the printed proof and offer another way to respond.

Compare inquiries, qualified leads and actual customers separately. No route selection or printed piece guarantees a response rate.

Every Door Direct Mail questions

Do I need a mailing list for EDDM?

No named recipient list is required for route-based EDDM. You choose carrier routes and use simplified addressing. If you want to mail only to particular customers or use recipient-level personalization, an addressed mailing is the better comparison.

Can you help choose Boise and Meridian routes?

Yes. Send the neighborhoods, ZIP codes or service boundaries you have in mind. International Minute Press Boise helps discuss route options and delivery counts before the campaign is finalized.

Can any postcard be mailed with Every Door Direct Mail?

No. An EDDM piece must meet the applicable USPS flat-size and preparation requirements. Product names such as postcard or flyer do not establish eligibility. We review the intended dimensions, stock, weight and layout before printing.

Do you handle printing and mailing preparation?

Yes. Our team coordinates design help when needed, printing, route preparation, bundling, paperwork and delivery to USPS within the approved project scope. Ask us to distinguish printing, preparation and postage in your quote.

What is the minimum EDDM quantity?

USPS EDDM Retail requires at least 200 mailpieces, with a daily limit of 5,000 pieces per ZIP Code. Route counts and the entry method determine the practical plan. Larger business-entry campaigns use different procedures; these are postal-program rules, not a universal shop minimum.

How soon will an EDDM mailing arrive?

Timing depends on artwork readiness, approval, production, preparation and postal delivery. Tell us about event dates and offer expiration before the job is scheduled. We confirm production timing; USPS controls delivery after acceptance, so an exact in-home date is not guaranteed.

Ready to reach your next neighborhood?

Tell us your target area, approximate budget or quantity, offer, artwork status and desired timing. We’ll help fill in the unknowns and prepare a clear EDDM quote.
